Five top tips to help with your calendar distribution

22.11.11 in Marketing
If you have ordered your promotional calendars for 2012 already, chances are you will be starting to distribute them in the next few weeks. If you haven’t ordered yet, you should do so soon. Either way, we have put together a list of useful tips that we hope will come in handy when you come to distribute your calendars:

• The personal touch always wins: ask your field sales people and drivers to hand the calendars out in person during their next sales call or delivery (also saving on postage!).
• All those enquiries you received during the year but didn’t convert into orders are likely to welcome a calendar and feel valued by receiving one.
• Calendars make a great prospecting tool; give them to those businesses you’d like to count amongst your customers in the future.
• Send a calendar out with each quotation or invoice in December to save on postage costs (browse our postage saver range for calendars that can be sent out under Royal Mail’s ‘Large Letter’ format).
• Last but not least: get your advert seen in as many places as possible. Don’t forget your accountant, solicitor, IT provider and even your dentist!

Fact is, a well-maintained recipient list and carefully executed distribution will make your calendars work even harder for you, and all at no extra cost to you whatsoever.

Have you got any other tried and tested tips that have helped you get your promotional calendars into the right places? We’d like to hear them! Please contact us with your experiences.

Benefits of ordering promotional calendars for 2012 soon

01.11.11 in Marketing
All of a sudden we find ourselves in November and wonder how we got here! With only 38 working days remaining this year, there is not much time left to organise end-of-year gifts for your customers and prospects.

We would like to remind businesses across the UK to order their promotional calendars for next year and highlight the two major advantages of placing your order soon:
  • you can still choose from good stock levels and are likely to get your preferred calendar titles before they sell out
  • the earlier you take delivery of your calendars, the more time you have left for their effective and targeted distribution

Celebrating 'Iconic Structures' on World Architecture Day

03.10.11 in Marketing

Extreme, ground-breaking feats of construction and engineering have always been favoured as subjects for art and photography and what better time to celebrate the results than today, on World Architecture Day.

The grand designs of this world are exactly what gave us the inspiration for our brand new calendar 'Iconic Structures', which depicts impressive megastructures from both the UK and further afield, featuring not only outstanding photography and a contemporary calendar design but many interesting facts about each subject - did you know that the world's tallest building is in downtown Dubai?

'Iconic Structures' is available as a stunning wall calendar as well as a no less impressive but handy desk version.

Obviously the ideal choice of promotional tool for any business related to the achitectural, construction and engineering industries, it also appeals to a wide range of people and would give your business promotion an iconic presence, whatever your trade.

Why calendars remain so popular - even in our increasingly digital world

27.09.11 in Marketing

Have you ever wondered why printed calendars continue to be so popular, even in today's world that is dominated more and more by digital devices, hand held organisers and anything else electronic?

There are several very good reasons. The recent BBC News Magazine article 'Why do we still buy calendars?' explores a few and has received some great comments from readers as a result. Although written largely from a consumer perspective, the facts about calendars' continuing popularity highlighted by both the article and the comments can just as easily - if not more so - be applied to promotional advertising calendars.

Well worth a read from our perspective. As are our customers' testimonials, which can either be read on our testimonials page or watched on our new video page.

We'd love to hear your views. Do you buy calendars, either as a personal present for Christmas or as a promotional tool for your business? If so, what is your main reason for doing so?And, last but not least, have you got a favourite calendar?

Will Chris Evans feature our Guinea Pig Games calendar on BBC Radio 2?

09.09.11 in Humour

You might have heard Chris Evans talk about calendars a lot this week on his BBC2 breakfast show. Nice to hear Cliff Richard is still making a calendar, how good does he look for his age? We love Chris' idea of a 'Muddy Dogs' calendar - whatever next!?

We have enjoyed the show this week and have sent Chris a copy of our funny business calendar Guinea Pig Games, in the hope he might like it enough to featue it on his show.

Guinea Pig Games is the perfect advertising tool for any business for promoting their services or products during the upcoming Olympic year in a humorous way and it's proved a really popular calendar choice for 2012 already. Have you had a look at it? Please contact us if you'd like to receive a sample.

And if you hear our promotional calendars mentioned by Chris, please let us know!

What is your favourite countryside walk?

18.07.11 in Environment

As the week long celebrations of 'National Countryside Week' come to an end, we wonder whether you have had chance to get out and about to enjoy the wonderful sights our diverse countryside has to offer. If you have - where did you go?

Launched by the Prince's Countryside Fund only last year, the main aim of 'National Countryside Week' is to support local farmers, improve the sustainability of Bristish farming and rural communities and reconnect people up and down the country with a variety of countryside issues.

Here at Rose Calendars, we have always liked and supported our vast and beautiful countryside and for years have celebrated it in the promotional calendar 'Countryside Walks', which is available as both a wall and desk calendar. The calendar brings a breath of fresh countryside air indoors and each copy comes with its own separate walks guide, so there is really no reason not to dust off those boots and get out to enjoy the fells, moors and other beautiful areas of Britain.

Back to our original question - what is your favourite countryside walk in the UK? Please let us know, we'd love to hear from you. Who knows, your walk might feature in 'Countryside Walks' one day...

Rose Calendars favoured over US president

10.06.11 in Economy
During a recent visit by our local Colchester MP Bob Russell, all of us here at Rose Calendars were rather surprised when he chose to stay for a factory tour instead of heading off to London to meet Barack Obama. Although Bob had received an invite to be introduced to the US president at Westminster that day, he said he’d “rather spend time with an important local business than meet Mr. Obama.”

Needless to say, we were rather flattered!

Read more about Bob Russell’s visit in our press release.
