Green's the word
April 22nd marks Earth Day, an annual event celebrated around the world. Established in the United States in 1970, it was created to call attention to the need for a healthy and sustainable environment. Over the past 40 years, the event has grown in popularity and is now receiving a great deal of coverage in the international media.
Cynics argue that Earth Day should be nothing special, as every day should be spent aiming for sustainable living. But all too often people need reminding of the obvious and the existence of Earth Day surely creates an excellent opportunity for local authorities, communities and companies to promote their environmental activities and concerns to a broad base.
You, too, can make a difference. What will your company do for Earth Day to stand out and capture the attention of its public? How will you let your customers, prospects, employees and shareholders know about your efforts to reduce carbon emissions, use more eco-friendly materials, reduce waste in packaging, start a recycling campaign, cut emissions, etc? Have you thought about an eco-friendly promotional calendar as a marketing tool for your company, advertising your products or services whilst at the same time highlighting how serious you take your corporate social responsibility?
As part of their range of 2010 calendars, Rose Calendars has devised a number of “Go Green” calendars, tailored to an audience that is aware of the importance of taking a more environmentally aware route in their business. Rose Calendars is determined to help businesses achieve their “green” objectives, whilst minimising the impact its own business has on our beautiful planet. This entails only using paper from sustainable sources and choosing recycled materials wherever possible. Even the calendars come with their own recycling instructions, helping the user to dispose of them in a responsible way. After all, seeing is believing, and we are confident we can prove to you that going green doesn’t have to mean a compromise in quality. Quite the opposite in fact, and it shows your customers and prospects that you care about planet Earth!
